Harry Whittington

A prominent attorney, Republican appointee and avid hunter from Austin, Texas who - in February of 2006 at the age of 78 - was shot by vice-president Dick Cheney during a quail hunting trip.

Although sprayed in the face and chest with shotgun pellets, Whittington was not gravely injured, owing to the small army of medical personnel on constant call and in attendance to the vice-president, should his shrivelled black heart make one of its periodic attempts to claw free of his chest cavity. If Whittington HAD been injured, well, hey, free heart for Dick!

Despite this incident and the multiple occasions wherein President Bush falls down, this administration has still yet to be dubbed the domain of bumbling clowns, whereas all it took for Garald Ford was a stumble down a rain-slicked staircase. I mean, what do these guys have over Ford, eloquence? Pfft.
